My last few days were pretty hectic and busy. And today, I woke up with a thought: What can be accomplished in just one minute? Especially, what can you do for yourself in just one minute? There are busy days…and there are days that are even busier. Work, family, business, deadlines, meetings and we want to catch it all. This means that more than often we tend to forget what is really important. We forget to take some time for ourselves.
How can you make yourself feel better in just one minute?
If you don`t have the luxury of taking a break from work, but you feel tired and had enough, you can try to make up for all that lost energy with these few steps!
Doing a breathing exercise
You are probably working your ass of right now, sitting at the desk or somewhere in front of a computer screen. If you feel you can`t go on, just breathe in slowly- and breathe out. Do it for a few times in a row and you`ll see you feel better straight away. It doesn`t take more than 1 minute, most of the time even less. It`s super effective and helps you stay focused!
Shake it baby
Feeling tired and ready to go back to bed? Stand up and shake it baby! Start from your head and slowly work your way down to your hands then hips and legs. Always shake just one part of your body- that goes for limbs as well. Just remember to do it gently, otherwise you might end up with a backpain. Again, it doesn`t take more than 60 seconds and helps your body with a bloodflow. You can also add little jumps from one foot to another.
Stop and dream
We’ve all been there. After working few hours in a row, all the motivation is gone and all that`s left is a sudden urge to scream and go home. If you can`t take a break, I have an idea: Just stop what you`re doing. All of it. Now, stop thinking about work and go to your happy place. What are you looking forward to today? What makes you happy? Go there. For a moment, you feel the satisfaction and joy that awaits you after you`re finished. That`s why you have to go on. That’s your motivation!
Start a short conversation
Sometimes it’s enough to exchange few sentences and life suddenly doesn`t feel that monotonne anymore. The conversation doesn`t have to be a serious one. It doesn’t even have to make sense. It`s there to take your mind of every second passed, so you can “survive” what`s ahead of you.
Go for a walk and take a sip
Even few steps can help you make your sore legs feel better again. The best route for your short walk is to the kitchen, where you can fill your cup with some water and take a sip. Because the most common reason for being tired and fatique is an insufficient water intake.
